HEALTH EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROJECT (HER) – PROVISION OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY HEALTHCARE SERVICES IN AFGHANISTAN (KANDAHAR AND GHOR PROVINCES)
BARAN is currently implementing BPHS/ EPHS in Kandahar and Ghor provinces since February 2023 with the objective of reducing maternal and newborn mortality, reducing under five mortalities and improving child health and nutrition through on District Hospitals (DHs), Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs), Basic Health Centers (BHCs), Preliminary Health Center (PHC), and Health Posts (HPs) are covered by this project for entire population of the provinces.
At the same time this project provides the opportunity to improve quality of health care services at the health facility levels by provision of regular initial, refresher and on the job trainings to the health workers on relevant topics.
The project is funded by World Bank through UNICEF till end of December 2023 for a period of 11 months.
