To empower and enable people by improving health, nutrition, rehabilitation, education and capacity building services through community development approaches.
The Board of Trustees of BARAN is committed to oversee the organization according to the up to dated developments/ challenges of the environment and provides opportunities for further enhancement of the professional capacity of BARAN.
We strongly recommend the management staff of BARAN to follow and respect BARAN’s policies as official and sole documents for the routine management of BARAN Central Management Office in Kabul (hereinafter CMO) and its Provincial Management Offices (hereinafter PMOs). The policies highlight and emphasize the management system of CMO and PMOs. Meanwhile the policies describe the values, authorizations, roles, regulations and procedures for effective and efficient management of BARAN.
The policies cannot be changed or amended except in written and signed approval by the BARAN Board of Trustees.
We believe the future is here and now we are living within. So, BARAN is committed to improve its technical and managerial capacity to be the most valuable, most innovative and most admired entity by applying continues positive changes and launching new strategies and polices.
Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a non-governmental, non-political, independent and not for profit organization. BARAN has been established in 27th July 2006 and registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc) as NGO. Meanwhile BARAN registered with Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) in order to deliver quality health care, social and educational services. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.
We provide healthcare services in rural and hard-to-reach areas in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health. Core services include primary and essential healthcare, which aims to improve access to healthcare and the overall health status of the vulnerable people, particularly women and children.
BARAN’s approach to healthcare combines of preventive, promotive and curative healthcare services, by following existed government guidelines on Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) and Essential Package of Hospital Services (EPHS).
INDEPENDENCY: BARAN is overseen by Board of Trustees. All employees follow the internal policies; express and practice independency with government, developmental partners, community, national and international organizations.
NONPOLITICAL: BARAN supports no political parties, groups and personalities. No member of the organization is allowed to use the reputation, influence and resources of the organization for political purposes.
JUSTICE: BARAN serves based on justice regardless of racial, tribal, religious, language, gender and regional discriminations. The organization in-serves wherever and whenever needed for the development of the country.
PROFESSIONALISM: BARAN manages all activities based on international accepted standards.
TRANSPARENCY, SINCERITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY: BARAN’s representative(s) strongly follow the principles of transparency, sincerity and accountability in all activities and present transparent information on utilization of resources to society, government and partner organizations.
