SUPPORT TO PRIMARY AND SECONDARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN AFGHANISTAN (KANDAHAR PROVINCE)

BARAN is currently implementing BPHS/ EPHS in Kandahar province since February 2022 with the objective of reducing maternal and newborn mortality, reducing under five mortalities and improving child health and nutrition through on District Hospital (DH), 25 Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs), 18 Basic Health Centers (BHCs), 20 Preliminary Health Center (PHC), and 619 Health Posts (HPs) are covered by this project for a population of 1,431,876 in the province.

At the same time this project provides the opportunity to improve quality of health care services at the health facility levels by provision of regular initial, refresher and on the job trainings to the health workers on relevant topics.

The project is funded by UNICEF &WHO till end of June 2022 for a period of 5 months.
