SUSTAINING BPHS AND EPHS UNDER SEHATMANDI PROJECT IN KANDAHAR

BARAN implemented Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) in Kandahar province since November 2021 with the objective of reducing maternal and newborn mortality, reducing under five mortalities and improving child health and nutrition through one District Hospital (DH), 25 Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs), 18 Basic Health Centers (BHCs), 20 Preliminary Health Center (PHC), and 619 Health Posts (HPs) are covered by this project for a population of 1,365,428 in the province.

At the same time this project provides the opportunity to improve quality of health care services at the health facility levels by provision of regular initial, refresher and on the job trainings to the health workers on relevant topics.

The project is funded by UNICEF/ WHO till end of January 2022 for a period of 3 months.
