STRENGTHENING AND SCALING-UP MALARIA PREVENTION AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE HEALTH STATUS IN AFGHANISTAN

BARAN implemented this project with the objectives of control and treatment of malaria at HFs and community levels as well as conducting trainings for CHWs, CHSs and HFs in-charges.

The main objectives of this project were to reduce malaria morbidity in all malaria stratum; to reduce malaria mortality; to reduce the incidence of Plasmodium Falciparum malaria to sporadic cases with a vision to completely interrupt transmission; and to reduce malaria morbidity in high risk area (stratum one districts). This project was funded by UNDP, started in April 2019 and ended on December 2020.
