STRENGTHENING AND SCALING-UP MALARIA PREVENTION AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE HEALTH STATUS IN AFGHANISTAN

BARAN is currently implementing this project with the objectives of control and treatment of malaria at HFs and community levels as well as conducting trainings for CHWs, CHSs and HFs in-charges.

The main objectives of this project are to reduce malaria morbidity in all malaria stratum; to reduce malaria mortality; to reduce the incidence of Plasmodium Falciparum malaria to sporadic cases with a vision to completely interrupt transmission; and to reduce malaria morbidity in high risk area (stratum one districts). This project is funded by UNDP, started in January 2021 and will be ended on December 2023.
