PERFORMANCE-BASED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT (PPA) TO DELIVER BPHS IN KANDAHAR PROVINCE (UNDER SEHAT-II AND SIX-MONTH EXTENSION UNDER SEHATMANDI)
BARAN has implemented BPHS in Kandahar province with the objectives of reducing maternal and newborn mortality, reducing under five mortalities and improving child health and nutrition.
Totally one District Hospital (DH), 25 Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs), 18 Basic Health Centers (BHCs), 7 Sub Health Center (SHC), and 626 Health Posts (HPs) are covered by this project for a population of 1,175,800 in the province.
At the same time this project provided the opportunity to improve quality of health care services at health facility levels by provision of regular initial, refresher and on the job trainings to the health workers on relevant topics. The project was started in July 2015 and ended in December 2018.
