FAMILY PLANNING TRAINING FOR CHWS AT PROVINCIAL LEVEL IN KANDAHAR AND BAMYAN
BARAN has conducted Family Planning training for Community Health Workers in Kandahar and Bamyan provinces. In this 3 days’ course of training a total of 100 CHWs received training on Family planning topics based on developed training curriculum in the field of Kandahar and Cluster-l of Bamyan province.
The project objective was to increase CHWs’ information on FP topics to strengthen community health services for FP in Kandahar and Cluster-I Bamyan province.
Meanwhile, the participants got essential skills on how to be involved in community and how to influence community to deliver FP services and awareness on method of FP.
The project was financially supported by UNFPA through contracting with ACTD and implemented by BARAN. This project started in September 2019 and ended on October 2016.
