TARGETED SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING PROGRAM (TSFP) IN KANDAHAR PROVINCE
BARAN has been qualified for the implementation of TSFP project in Kandahar province by MoPH. The main objective of the project was to reduce severity of malnourished pregnant and lactating women and reduce of mortality of moderate acute malnourished children. The project was providing nutritional services throughout Out Patient Therapeutic Program (OTPs) of targeted population. The project was started in September 2015 and ended in June 2018. FAMILY PLANNING TRAINING FOR CHWS AT PROVINCIAL LEVEL IN KANDAHAR AND BAMYAN
BARAN has conducted Family Planning training for Community Health Workers in Kandahar and Bamyan provinces. In this 3 days’ course of training a total of 100 CHWs received training on Family planning topics based on developed training curriculum in the field of Kandahar and Cluster-l of Bamyan province. BARAN has implemented BPHS in Samangan province in partnership with Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) with the objectives of reducing maternal and newborn mortality, reducing under five mortalities and improving child health and nutrition.
