CONDITIONAL CASH TRANSFER (CCT) IN KANDAHAR AND BAMYAN PROVINCES


BARAN has been qualified by MoPH to implement the project of CCT in Kandahar and Bamyan provinces for reducing maternal and newborn mortality. The objective of the project was to provide additional support to Reproductive Health section of the health facilities by providing incentives at HFs and community levels. PERFORMANCE-BASED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT (PPA) TO DELIVER BPHS IN KANDAHAR PROVINCE (UNDER SEHAT-II AND SIX-MONTH EXTENSION UNDER SEHATMANDI)


BARAN has implemented BPHS in Kandahar province with the objectives of reducing maternal and newborn mortality, reducing under five mortalities and improving child health and nutrition. Totally one District Hospital (DH), 25 Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs), 18 Basic Health Centers (BHCs), 7 Sub Health Center (SHC), and 626 Health Posts (HPs) are covered by this project for a population of 1,175,800 in the province. CHALLENGE TB AFGHANISTAN - COMMUNITY BASED DOTS IMPLEMENTATION


BARAN has been qualified by MSH/USAID for the implementation of CB-DOTs project in Kandahar and Bamyan provinces. The project aimed to increase community awareness by professional staff and case findings of TB from community through TB awareness sessions and active case findings at community level; broadcasting of TB messages through local media; and conducting orientation sessions. The project was started in October 2015 and ended in June 2018 with a duration of 32 months. [read more...]
